Frequently asked questions

Do I need a referral from my doctor to attend your practice?

No, generally you do not need a referral from your doctor to see a physiotherapist.

However, you do require a referral if:

  1. You are claiming a Medicare rebate under an Enhanced Primary Care Plan (EPC). Your EPC will state how many treatment sessions be allocated to physiotherapy. A maximum of 5 sessions can be approved per calendar year, across ALL allied health practitioners (not just physio).
  2. You are claiming your consultations under Department of Veteran Affairs (DVA).

Do you accept Private Health Insurance (PHI)?

Yes, we offer on the spot claiming through our Tyro terminal. If you forget your PHI card, we can email or print your receipt so you can claim with your PHI. All the details you need for claiming are listed on your receipt.

How long are the consultations?

Initial Physiotherapy consultations are 35-45 minutes. Suited to new clients, clients returning with a new injury, or returning clients with a gap in treatment greater than 3 months.

Standard Physiotherapy consultations are 20-30 minutes. Ideal for the treatment of one injury.

Extended Physiotherapy consultations are 35-45 minutes. Ideal for the treatment of two injuries.

Please note that all consultations are inclusive of time required for your physiotherapist to write an exercise program, report, certification, referral and letters.

You can book online here.

What should I wear?

Loose fitting clothing or something that you can freely move in is ideal. For safety and hygiene, Pilates grip socks are required when using the Pilates Studio. We have some spare shorts & Pilates grip socks available for those times when you get caught out.
